The idea of small ball is that you give up size on defense to go 5 out on offense to space and stretch the floor. Except that Sidy isn't defended as a three-point shooter so it doesn't really work. I get that for sure (especially on specific possessions where you need offense like the one with 35 seconds left where Deni committed an offensive foul) but I feel like Cissoko was a big part of the run that got them back into the game in the first place. Like he checked in for Clingan with 9 minutes left and the blazers down 14 and then they ended up almost coming all the way back especially when the Raptors were playing murray boyles at center.
